Meet with Programming Coordinator of Discovery World Museum of Science, Economics & Technology to share information from the Greatest Places Leadership Institute. Begin the process of planning collaborative programming with Discovery World. Share program ideas for the proposed action plan with Discovery World.

Meet with Vice President for Collections, Research & Public Programs at the MPM to discuss the proposal and obtain approval for program development. Make changes/edits as needed.

After meeting with the Vice President for Collections, Research & Public Programs, give a copy of the proposed action plan to the IMAX Director at the Museum Center.

September 1997
Meet with staff of the Educational Programming Section to share plan and discuss additional ideas.

After meeting with Educational Programming Section, meet with the IMAX Director at the Museum Center for feedback/revisions/edits.

mid-September 1997
Make staff assignments of the Educational Programming Section staff for each component (adults, families, teachers, overnights, packets).

Give to the Vice President for Marketing/Development and the Director of Marketing a copy of the revised "Overview of a Proposed Action Plan for Educational Programming at the Milwaukee Public Museum related to "The Greatest Places" IMAX film.

October 1997
Meet with Vice President for Marketing/Development and the Director of Marketing to review the proposed action plan and revise as needed.

Contact leadership of WIGA (Wisconsin Geographic Alliance) regarding the annual convention to be held in Milwaukee 1998 (to coincide with the opening of The Greatest Places).

Education Staff fleshes out details of their program assignment by establishing a program title, begin date/end date, audience, program description, timeline, budget (direct costs).

November 1997
Assemble budget requests from each program and integrate in the overall Educational Programming Section budget for the next budget cycle (Sept 1, 1997 - August 31, 1998). Circulate budget through established procedures.

Meet with the Director of Marketing to plan a timeline for marketing/promotion of programming.

Education Staff continues development of their program assignment.

Opening of The Greatest Places IMAX.

Begin Program implementation.
