Ooh, 500 miles is really close. The Iditarod is actually 1,000 miles long, making it the longest dog race in the world. The race stretches from Anchorage, Alaska, all the way to Nome, Alaska. That's a lot of running for the dogs and a several day journey for the entire team of racers. Nice try!
